Training
The Los Santos Police Academy
Nobody hits the streets unprepared. The academy takes you from your first briefing to your final field evaluation, building the skills a Los Santos officer relies on every shift.
The Program
The academy is a structured program that turns a background-cleared applicant into a certified Los Santos officer. Over a series of sessions you cover the law, the driving, the tactics, and the comms that a real shift demands, then prove them in controlled scenarios before you ever run a live call.
Instructors are veteran officers who coach in real time. The goal is not to memorize a manual, it is to leave with instincts you can trust when a scene turns fast.

Curriculum
What You Will Train
Vehicle Operations
Pursuit driving, precision stops, and code-3 response that keeps up with traffic without turning half the city into a wreck. Recruits learn to read the road and their unit at the same time.
Firearms & Less-Lethal
Weapon handling, holster discipline, and the full less-lethal ladder. The focus is judgment first: when a tool comes out, why, and how to keep bystanders out of the line of fire.
Law & Procedure
Los Santos statutes, radio codes, search and detention rules, and the server policy behind them. You leave knowing not just what the rules are, but why each one keeps scenes fair.

Tactics
Building approaches, felony stops, and coordinated movement with a partner. Instructors freeze scenes, coach the decision, and reset until the instinct is clean under pressure.
Communication
Fast, clear comms while your hands are full and the scene is loud. Recruits drill callouts, location reporting, and calm de-escalation language that lowers the temperature of a stop.
Physical Training
The in-game conditioning that keeps you effective on long shifts: foot pursuits, controlled restraint roleplay, and the composure to stay sharp when a call runs long.
What Recruits Should Expect
Scheduling
Classes run on a rolling calendar with weekday and weekend seats. You reserve a slot that fits your availability, and command posts the next intake in the LSPD Discord well ahead of time.
Structure
The academy moves from classroom fundamentals to controlled practicals to live field training. Each phase has a sign-off, and you only advance once an instructor confirms you are ready.
Gear
You will be issued a standard loadout for training scenarios. Learning to manage your equipment, radio, and MDT at once is part of the evaluation, not an afterthought.
Discipline
Show up on time, stay in character, and take feedback without deflecting. Professionalism during training is the clearest signal of how you will carry the badge on patrol.
